HISTORICAL CONTEXT

INTRODUCTION TO KAOS DESIGN
Davide dell'Acqua and Massimo Riva founded in 1994 Kaos Design textile Studio, which has been since then one of the most important studios developing trends in the textile market for primary labels and companies.
Based in Como, a worldwide famous area for silk production, the Studio has been a partner in design for many customer projects, starting from Europe and reaching Middle East, USA/Canada and Asia & Japan clients.
Developing so many different styles (classics & traditionals, baroque & ornamentals, scenery compositions) the Studio's goal has always been, over the years, to show and improve "The Italian style", at its best.
Davide and Massimo last project is now Grandtourlakecomo, their own silk brand, where Italian artistic wonders are displayed on silk as tales.
THE CULTURAL PIECES

The Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus, also known as the Temple of Capitoline Jupiter, was the most important temple in ancient Rome, dedicated to the Capitoline Triad: Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva. Its construction began under the reign of the Etruscan king Tarquinius Priscus in the sixth century BC and was completed by Tarquinius Superbus, with the temple being inaugurated at the beginning of the Republic in 509 BC. The temple stood prominently on the Capitoline Hill, symbolizing Rome's religious and political authority.
The Ara Pacis Augustae, or Altar of Augustan Peace, is an ancient altar dedicated to Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. Commissioned by the Roman Senate in 13 BC and inaugurated by Emperor Augustus in 9 BC, it was built to commemorate Augustus's victorious return from campaigns in Hispania and Gaul. The monument features intricate reliefs depicting both mythological scenes and processions of Augustus's family, symbolizing the peace and prosperity brought by his reign.
